I’m a sports fan, but not too big of a college sports fan. They need to step up their treatment of the student athletes!

good video but you …
good video but you gotta take into account that drugs like hgh and some various types of testosterone are unable to show up with modern drug tests… so just because your favorite athlete passes a test doesn’t mean he’s clean. Just look at UFC’s Randy “HGH cures aging” Couture, the poster boy of MMA but he clearly exhibits all the outside side-effects of hgh abuse…

i would love to …
i would love to talk some more about the college sports though.
March 14th, 2010 at 6:25 am
you couldnt be more …
you couldnt be more wrong right now. sorry dude theres not enough room in this comment box to make my point that your way wrong about college sports. BUT i kinda agree with you on A rod. i feel the same way about Bonds he was still a GREAT player before steroids and the steroids could have inflated his numbers later in his career but how many people that WERE on steroids hit 73 homers in a season? not very many. it will take a lot more than steroids to make an average player into an all star.

Damn ur right scoop …
ur right scoop i feel so bad for college footbal players. They r gods on and off the feild, they r loved by all, they get thrown at them all day everyday, free education that would usually cost hundreds of thousands of dollars. Must be terrible to be a college athelete.

LOL a Master’s …
LOL a Master’s degree in football.
I don’t know about that homie.

Your totaly right.
Your totaly right.

Scoop, I agree with …
Scoop, I agree with you on better rights for college athletes. They should get an extra stipend or at least minimum wage based on the hours they put in beyond the maximum practice time the NCAA. The question is regulation. Would you pay a RB from USC the same as one from Georgia Southern? Is it based on what your program earns?
I don’t agree with adding a major of the sport. Most athletes that end up as coaches or commentators major in communication or physical education/coaching.

Really? So then …
Really? So then what about girls that are cheerleaders? Should they be major in cheerleading?! Masters in Cheering. Classes: spirit 101, spankies 101, toe touch 101
March 14th, 2010 at 6:25 am
I agree except that …
I agree except that most College Athletes (approx. 80%) do not go on to the play professional sports for that reason alone they should be able to make some money from their athletic abilities so they can better themselves in the life post-college.

March 14th, 2010 at 6:25 am
average NFL career …
average NFL career 3,5 yrs (not for life) so yeah no need for a masters on that shit… as for the analyst or commentator jobs u need to study journalism or communications. Not football!

Ooh Scoop, you are …
Ooh Scoop, you are so far off that it isn’t funny! The overwhelming majority of college atheletes revenue sports DON’T find careers in professional sports. The trade off of the scholarship for not having to work thru school or for tuition not being a burden is more than fair. If they take the opportunity to gain the same kind of start in a profession that any other college student has, without having to pay for the costs of a degree, is fair enough. It is very unenlightend point you argue.

Look at Keshawn …
Look at Keshawn Johnson. ( Think I butchered his name)
He’s was an athlete, when he retired he used his degree in Design. If there such a program I think too many people would take it and there wouldnt be enough jobs for it. Any other course has plenty of space for everybody.
March 14th, 2010 at 6:25 am
I think the reason …
I think the reason they make these players take other courses is because there is an end to football and after the end there is still life. So to me it is important for these players to continue to make a life after football.

Scoop, I can see …
Scoop, I can see where you are coming from about getting a degree in football. If a pro football player blows out a knee and can’t play anymore, what education does he have to fall back on?
I think it’s good the way it is, because if the pro football player can’t play anymore, he can fall back on his education, like business administration.

Me too I love to look at football and basketball.
March 14th, 2010 at 6:25 am
A-Rod has ALWAYS …
A-Rod has ALWAYS carried his teams. Mariners, Rangers and now the Yankees. College athletes should get a little extra money in their tuition refund check because they risk so much. But, a lot of athletes are Communications major so they can be a commentator or a analyst.
March 14th, 2010 at 6:25 am
lol! not all of …
lol! not all of them go pro. but many end up majoring in business, health, physical therapy, etc.
