Is yoga good alternative to doing weights or normal cardio exercises or sports for fitness?

Is yoga good?

In a given week I run and lift and do yoga. Yoga, in my experience, can be the toughest work-out if done right. Variety in exercise is crucial to fitness. Yoga can provide that, I think, more than just doing weights or cardio. My advice is to mix it up.

Do you think anyone who exclusively runs or lifts weights is as physically fit as this guy?

Yoga isn’t an alternative to cardio, as it goes at a lot slower pace. It is usually used just to improve mental health, flexibility, balance, and strength, not your cardio endurance. Yoga is great, but you should still do cardio as well.

Yes, when you get really good at it you see how far your body can go.
And you learn at each ones’s own idividual pace, work up to your own pace.
