What do I need to know about sports betting?

August 8, 2011 - 3:11 am 4 Comments

I’ve decided to try out sports book betting next time I’m in Vegas, but I have no idea what to do. The last time I was at Caesar’s I just stared at the giant screens for a while and gave up. What do I need to know before making a bet, and how exactly do you go about placing one?

On the board you will see a number by each bet, for example:

43 Packers -6
44 Bears +6

That means the Packers are 6 point favorites vs the Bears.

Walk up to the window and say: I want $10 on 43. That means you are betting $10 on the Packers to win by more than 6. Naturally you can bet whatever amount you want and as many games as you like.

Thats the basics. There is more, like parlay cards and multiple game cards, championship games, etc. they will be happy to help you, just admit you are new.

How does the payout work in sports betting?

July 24, 2011 - 8:06 pm 5 Comments

I am new to sports betting and have started to make a few bets here and there. However I am confused with the way the pay line works. For example what does a payline on -205 mean for me? If I was betting $50.00 on phi who are -205 how do I determine the payout I will get?

Please help

If you don’t even know what it means, how can you possibly know if you’re making a good bet or not? Really – only around 1% of people who gamble on sports do so profitably over time. What chance do you have if you don’t even understand a line?

-205 means if you bet $205 you would win $100 profit. So you’d get back your $205, plus the $100 profit for a total of $305.

You can turn -205 into a decimal form to make it easier to find out how much $50 gets you. -205 is the same as the decimal form 1.4878.

Multiply $50 by 1.4878 and you get your total return. That’d be $74.39. So you profit a total of $24.39 on a $50 bet.

I can’t seem to make it down to my local bookie often, so I was wondering if any of you wager at any online sports betting sites? If so, which ones are trustworthy and are the best bookmakers for English football betting?

Here are five: Ladbrokes, Bet365, Unibet, Betway and Betsson. All five are solid bookies for online wagering on English football leagues.

This site has reviews of all five sports betting sites, including their best features, sign-up bonuses, currencies, languages, restricted countries, and a list of sports leagues you can wager on. Most of these sports betting shops offer poker and casino wagering too.

Which country is best to open a free sports betting website?

March 9, 2011 - 7:00 pm 7 Comments

I am trying to open a free sports betting website, which will not accept any type of payment or transaction. Everything will be bet through credit which is supplied by the Admin. Which is the best country and why to open such a site? Thank you.

There are lots of different jurisdictions for opening an online gambling establishment. The major differences between them is who accepts US Players and who doesn’t. Some are known as loose regulators like the ones in the Caribbean and in Central America. Others have more stringent regulations like the ones in the European Union. Check out some online casinos and sports books that you like and see where they operate from. Usually there are lawyers who can offer you a turn-key online gaming solution that includes licensing and web hosting for your online casino.

I really enjoy betting on sports, but I have a problem. I am addicted to the blackjack in the online casino that my two sportsbook have. Does anyone know of a good online sports betting website that has no casino in it???

Yes. Definitely there are online betting sports sites available in the web that do not include casino. You can try www.sportsbetting.com.au …It is the first online bookmaker site being legalized in Northern Territory government. With Sportsbetting.com.au, you are assured of (financially) safety betting.
